Answers to common questions about joining Mobilates, memberships, classes, accessibility and what to expect.
Real experiences from people who move with Mobilates.
“Finding Mobilates during lockdown has enabled me to be stronger both physically and mentally.”
“It’s great finding something that you can do no matter what stage of fitness or mobility you are at, and somewhere everyone is accepted and supported.”
A few extra perks and ways to get involved with Mobilates, beyond the classes.
Mobilates has a volunteering programme that is totally flexible to your needs. Volunteers can help with classes, events and socials in ways that feel manageable. It is a lovely way to give back, meet people and be part of Da Mob. Ask a member of the team if you would like to know more.
Our special offer is live again. If you refer a friend to Mobilates and they mention your name when they sign up to a membership, you will receive a whole month free. Those free months really add up — refer 12 friends and that is a whole year of free Mobilates classes.

Mobilates also has member Facebook and WhatsApp spaces. If you are thinking of joining, you can find out about the community now. Once you have joined, the team can show you how to access the member groups.
There is more to Mobilates than classes. Craft sessions, Book Club and Togetherness sessions give members relaxed ways to connect, chat and spend time together.
Start here if you are new to Mobilates, planning a free trial or choosing a membership.
Book a free trial first. There is no obligation to join afterwards.
Book at mobilates.as.me/freeconsult. If no time works, email info@mobilates.com with some alternatives.
You will receive a Zoom link. Before the appointment, complete the Health Form and Wellbeing Survey. Add info@mobilates.com and scheduling@acuityscheduling.com to your safe senders.
Use the reschedule link in your reminder email or email info@mobilates.com. Rescheduling lets us offer the space to somebody else.
It is a confidential 20-minute one-to-one with a Mobilates team member who understands long-term health conditions. We talk about your health, mobility, concerns, goals and suitable classes. There is no expectation to exercise, although we may ask you to show a range of movement if that would help us understand a restriction.
We use anonymised Zoom transcripts to help create your Movement Passport and teaching notes. You can ask us to take notes instead. For adjustments email info@mobilates.com. If Zoom causes problems, call or text Leanne on 07545 219856.
We send your Movement Passport, the plan you agreed, details of classes booked to try and any follow-up date. We may also invite you to complete our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion monitoring form.
Use the reschedule button in your reminder email or email info@mobilates.com.
We will email you about joining. If you sign up within a week, you receive 50% off your first month.
Try Mobilates first through an online Initial Consultation or in-person free trial. If it feels right, choose a membership. View memberships and pricing.
Standard online memberships come in three tiers, based on how many classes a week you would like — one class, two classes or unlimited. Lower-cost Subsidised Memberships, Pay It Forward and the Rainbow Fund are also available, so cost need not be a barrier. See all options.
Live interactive Zoom classes, community activities, recordings, support from teachers with lived experience and adaptations for bed, chair, wheelchair, floor or standing. Mobilates is about movement that feels safe, doable and supportive.
Yes, for flexibility or trying a class. We usually recommend membership long term because it includes more continuity, community activities, ongoing support and the chance to feel properly part of Da Mob.
Yes. Need a Hand memberships are lower-cost and you do not need to prove your circumstances. If that is still too much, ask about the Rainbow Fund. A simple email to info@mobilates.com is enough.
It lets members who can afford a little more help fund subsidised access for somebody else.
Yes. There is no long contract. You can pause, change or cancel when needed. If you want to keep paying temporarily and donate the credits to another member, email us. There is absolutely no pressure to do this.

Booking, classes, equipment, recordings and everyday questions once you are part of Da Mob.
There is no separate beginners class, but there are very gentle starting points. Teachers adapt movement to your body, including bed, seated or standing options.
Use the * challenge rating as a guide and remember you can always take breaks or change position. Your Initial Consultation can help too. Use the class finder for current class details.
Check your booking email for the Zoom link, make your space safe, keep any medication and a drink within reach, and join about five minutes early.
Click the Zoom link in your class email, choose Join Zoom and allow camera/microphone access. Use the waiting room to check your camera, microphone and speaker before class.
We encourage it because it helps teachers adapt safely, but we never force it. If you keep it off, say hello in chat so we know you are there. Members are not shown in the class recording.
No. Mute whenever you need to and unmute to speak. Questions and chat are encouraged.
No black marks. Reschedule from your email if you can. If you were booked, you will still receive the recording. Please do not feel you need to apologise for listening to your body.

We email and text as soon as possible. Your credit is returned so you can book another class. Where possible, we also send a recording.
Yes. The class finder lets you filter by teacher, length, challenge, class type, position and more. We keep class details there as the single source of truth rather than duplicating them across the website.
A larger screen can be easier, but a phone works too. Prop your device safely where you can see the teacher and, where possible, the teacher can see your body. You can reposition it when moving to the floor.
Anything comfortable that lets you move. Pyjamas are fine. Use any support garments, splints or tape you normally need.
No. Start with what you have: cushions, tins or bottles, tights or a dressing-gown cord can substitute for common props. Some classes benefit from the intended equipment, but we can adapt. See the LOVE page for recommendations.
